Hawaii's Ancient Black History, they've NEVER told you about ... 👀

1822 Painting by Louis Choris highlighting the inhabitants of Hawaii entitled “Inhabitants of the Sandwich Islands”.

The history of Hawaii is a rich tapestry of cultural intermingling and racial diversity, deeply rooted in its ancient Black history. According to J.A. Rogers in his book "Sex and Race," the original Hawaiians had a significant Negro influence in their ancestry, evident in their physical appearance and cultural practices. This influence, combined with Mongolian traits, created a unique ethnic composition. Despite contemporary efforts to downplay the Negro contribution to Hawaiian ancestry, the evidence is apparent to those familiar with the mulatto type. This historical racial mix laid the foundation for Hawaii's reputation as a human melting pot, where diverse ethnic groups have intermarried and coexisted for centuries.

Hawaii's status as a melting pot is unparalleled, with a population comprising Native Hawaiians, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Malay, Portuguese, Cape Verdean Negroes, white Americans, and both white and black Puerto Ricans, among others. The social acceptance of intermarriage has led to the production of fine human types and notable descendants from mixed unions, such as the offspring of a white sea-captain and a Hawaiian chieftess in the early 19th century. This blend of races has not only enriched the cultural landscape but also contributed to the development of leading citizens in Hawaii. The positive outcomes of such intermarriage have been well-documented and celebrated, reinforcing the benefits of racial integration.
